Rankmaniac 2012

Rankmaniac is an annual Search Engine Optimization competition that occurs as a part of Caltech's CS 144 course: Ideas behind the web. Soon after we learned the fundamental ideas behind Google's PageRank, we began building this and other pages in a competition to achieve the highest search engine ranking for image searches using the phrase "Rankmaniac 2012." In the interest of this lofty goal, we present the below image of a true Rankmaniac contemplating the meaning of the web.

Ben Weitz, being the most accomplished philosopher in our group primarily on account of his impressive beard, ponders what it means to be a "Rankmaniac" in 2012.

While we don't want to do anything that might unduly distract from Mr. Weitz, we do feel obligated to continue to provide access to our Tasmanian Devil image, if only for posterity's sake.
