Rankmaniac is an annual Search Engine Optimization competition that occurs as a part of Caltech's CS 144 course: Ideas behind the web. Soon after we learned the fundamental ideas behind Google's PageRank, we began building this and other pages in a competition to achieve the highest search engine ranking for image searches using the phrase "Rankmaniac 2012." In the interest of this lofty goal, we present the below image of a true Rankmaniac contemplating the meaning of the web.
